Nice quote spotted on the New Scientist letters page:
If atheism is a faith, then not playing chess is a hobby.
I will, no doubt, be stealing that one.
Postscript: It turns out this is a hoary old chestnut (with some versions substituting collecting stamps for playing chess). It's still very good, though.
