Ahem… Now we are 1600+

HOLY CRAP!! I'd almost forgotten what it's like to be Pharyngulated. Let me show you what it looks like:

Pharyngulated
Friends of Charles Darwin visitor stats for May 2007.

It's a crazy, old world: 13 years to reach our 1000th member, then, in the space of a little over 24 hours, up pop another 600+. Thanks very much to PZ Myers, FCD, for the link-cum-denial-of-service-attack.

A big welcome to all our new members, and an extra-special welcome to our very first members from Bulgaria, Norway, Panama and Thailand. At this rate, we'll soon be overtaking the United Nations.

Apologies to those of you who experienced technical difficulties while trying to register: the enrolment form simply isn't capable of withstanding that sort of onslaught. I think it's about time for a more intelligent design (if you'll pardon the expression).
