Hello, Costa Rica!

I am delighted to announce that the Friends of Charles Darwin have their first member from Costa Rica: Rolando Coto of San José. Welcome, Rolando.

This brings the total number of countries represented by Friends of Charles Darwin to a rather magnificent 70. To put this number in meaningless perspective, that's 12 more countries than the League of Nations at its peak membership.

Writer and photographer Richard Carter, FCD is the founder of the Friends of Charles Darwin. He lives in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.WebsiteFacebookTwitterNewsletterBooks

“…wonderfully droll, witty and entertaining… At their best Carter’s moorland walks and his meandering intellectual talk are part of a single, deeply coherent enterprise: a restless inquiry into the meaning of place and the nature of self.”
