Did my ancestor know Charles Darwin?

Over the years, I have received a number of Darwin-related queries from amateur genealogists. I am happy to look through my large collection of Darwin-related books to see if your ancestor’s name appears (only one three successes so far!), but, before I do, you might want to visit the the Darwin Correspondence Project website to see if your ancestor’s name appears in any of Darwin’s correspondence.

Good luck!

“…wonderfully droll, witty and entertaining… At their best Carter’s moorland walks and his meandering intellectual talk are part of a single, deeply coherent enterprise: a restless inquiry into the meaning of place and the nature of self.”
